If you want the ultimate in long-term reliability, this system is backed by an unmatched 20-year mechanism warranty.

The CS300HD
For Small Pools & Spas. When tight spaces are a concern, the HD is the solution for pools up to 200 square feet. While standard pool covers require a bulky 30" offset, the CS300HD features a brilliant tuck-under motor with an incredibly tight 14" offset. Perfect for "Spools" or constrained backyards.

The Atom
Seamless Integration. The Atom packs immense power into a highly compact design. It fits perfectly into a 24" motor end vault. It features a stainless steel mechanism with a tuck-under motor, creating a low-offset system that delivers a highly aesthetic, minimalistic look without sacrificing pulling power.
ASTM Safety Specifications
When you invest in a pool cover, you want to ensure you are getting the best quality product that meets all necessary safety standards. Coverstar automatic cover systems have been rigidly tested to meet the strict safety standards outlined in ASTM F1346 to reduce the risk of drowning.

Weight Support
The cover must hold a minimum weight of 485 lbs (the approximate average weight of two adults and one child).

Perimeter Deflection
All openings must be strong enough to prevent a test object from passing through the edges.

Surface Drainage
Designed to prevent a dangerous amount of rainwater from collecting on top of the cover system.

Control Switch
Any device used to control the cover is permanently mounted in full view of the entire pool area.
How Safe Are Automatic Pool Covers?
Coverstar automatic pool covers create a horizontal fence to prevent children, pets, or any other unwanted guests from entering your pool unattended. While pool covers are the best way to add a layer of protection, they operate best alongside proper adult supervision.
There is no need to worry about unauthorized access because the control switch requires a secure key or a custom four-digit PIN code to operate.

Protect Your Loved Ones
A Coverstar automatic pool cover is the ultimate way to keep children and pets out of harm’s way. The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance recommends a layered approach to pool safety, which includes adult supervision, automatic covers, and safety alarms.
According to the CDC, 10 people die each day from unintentional drowning. Automatic pool covers help add a robust layer of protection between your loved ones and devastation, ensuring your backyard remains a safe oasis.

*For optimal safety, never stand, sit, or walk on any automatic cover intentionally.
Uncompromising
Engineering
The stronger the cover, the safer the cover. Our automatic pool covers are designed to protect your pool and your loved ones, but they’re also made to fit your lifestyle and personal preferences.

Fabric & Webbing
Coverstar automatic covers use an exclusive, patented process to heat-seal webbing around a polymer bead and weld it to the cover in one step. Independent lab tests show this webbing is over twice as strong as competitors.
- 17 oz Heavy-Duty Vinyl
- Ultraviolet & Chemical resistant
- Minimal shrinkage (less than 1%)

Color Options
Our covers are custom-made to fit your pool. We offer your choice of 10 standard fabric colors to help you design a pool cover that perfectly matches your unique backyard aesthetic.
- Aqua, Navy Blue, Royal Blue
- Black, Charcoal, Grey
- Mocha, Tan, Forest Green

Control Switches
Choose from three weatherproof cover control options. Any device used to control the cover must be permanently mounted in full view of the pool area to meet the highest safety standards.
- Touch Screen: 4-digit PIN code.
- Key Switch: Standard lock & key.
- Rocker Switch: Decor-style momentary action.
Track Architectures
Automatic Pool Cover Tracks must be installed in a rectangular shape around the pool for the cover to open and close. Choose from three different systems to best fit the design needs of your pool.
Under-Track Systems
Under-track systems are installed underneath the pool deck, either embedded in the pool wall with encapsulation or mounted to the bottom side of a rectangular pool’s coping. These track types are ideal for new pools or deck resurfacing projects, creating a seamless design that is virtually unnoticed.
The Pros
- Flawless, invisible aesthetic.
- No trip hazards on the deck.
The Considerations
- Requires precise engineering during the gunite phase.

Recessed Top-Track Systems
This track style features an aluminum track that is embedded into the pool deck, revealing a flush track system which connects to a recessed drive system. It minimizes aesthetic intrusions and can be sloped to accommodate a flush aluminum or stone lid.
The Pros
- Allows for freeform shapes while hiding the motor.
- Track sits flush with the concrete.
The Considerations
- Track is visible running along the deck.

Standard Top-Track Systems
Ideal for freeform pools or existing pools, the standard top track is installed on top of the finished pool deck and sits just ½” proud, while the drive system is installed mounted to the surface of the deck (often wrapped in a bench).
The Pros
- The most cost-effective and retro-fittable option.
- Bench can double as functional deck seating.
The Considerations
- Most intrusive visual footprint.
- Tracks sit slightly above the concrete (potential trip hazard).

Vault Lid Finishes

Standard Aluminum
A sturdy, painted aluminum panel that safely covers the vault. Simple, functional, and economical.

Flush Aluminum
Installed before the concrete is poured to ensure it sits perfectly level with the surrounding deck.

Poured Stone / Coping
The ultimate luxury finish using stone or poured concrete trays that match your deck perfectly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, your cover is built to hold the weight of several adults (minimum 485 lbs per ASTM standards) to prevent accidental drownings. However, it is a safety barrier, not a patio extension. We strongly advise against intentionally walking, jumping, or playing on the cover, as this can cause premature wear to the fabric, ropes, and tracks.
Like anything exposed to harsh chemicals, temperature variations, and ultra-violet light, a pool cover will eventually break down. You will know it is time to replace it if you see cracks, peeling, or weak spots where water seeps through. The fabric should feel pliable and supple; if it becomes stiff and brittle, it is time for a replacement.
No. Since the Coverstar cover rests on the surface of the water, several inches of accumulated rainwater will be safely supported by the pool water underneath. However, operating the cover with standing water on top is dangerous and likely to cause severe damage. Always use the provided water-sensing cover pump to remove standing rain water before opening the cover.
Yes, significantly. A closed cover drastically reduces water evaporation, which is the primary cause of heat loss and chemical dissipation. Many owners see a reduction in heating costs by up to 70%, and a reduction in chemical usage by up to 60%, making the cover an investment that helps pay for itself over time.
Coverstar systems are the most reliable on the market, but they do require basic care. Keep your cover system free from dirt and debris that can collect in the tracks or in the autocover housing. Just like brake pads on your car, pulleys and sliders wear over time. We recommend an annual service check by a certified technician to inspect and flush the system.
An under-track, fully hidden vault system requires the tracks to be built into the pool wall before the coping is poured, and requires a concrete pit to be dug at the end of the pool. For existing pools, we typically install a Deck-Mounted (Top-Track) system where the motor and tracks sit on top of the deck, often hidden inside a custom bench.
Yes, your cover can be used during the winter months, but you must follow strict winterization procedures. The most important factor is maintaining the proper water level beneath the cover to support the weight of heavy snow or ice. You must also continue to use your cover pump to remove excess melt water.
Yes. Most types of robotic pool cleaners that remain on the floor of the pool and do not float above the surface of the water will work perfectly under the cover. Additionally, you will find you need to use your cleaner much less frequently since the cover seals out dirt and debris.
Absolutely. For freeform pools, we typically utilize an overlapping deck-mount system where the tracks run parallel on top of the deck outside the pool's shape. For new builds, we can sometimes engineer an extreme cantilever deck design to hide the tracks beneath the stone, even on custom shapes.
It is highly recommended that you leave the cover open for approximately 24 hours after chemically "shocking" or heavily treating the water to prevent the concentrated gases from burning or damaging the cover fabric. A general rule of thumb: if the chemical levels are too high for you to swim safely, do not close the cover.
